About Us

Giuseppe was born and raised in the small hill town of Ripatransone which stands high on a ridge above the Northern slopes of the attractive valley of the Tesino River. Geographically it is situated between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea, in the heart of Le Marche.

Cooking in Le Marche is deeply rooted in peasant tradition and remains impervious to the arrival of frozen bastoncini di pesce (fish fingers). Here the home cook rather than the professional chef rules and even the smartest restaurants seek to produce food just like ‘nonna’ or grandmother used to make.

Giuseppe Iaconi – otherwise known as Il Marchigiano is now at the Plum Pudding for you to experience recipes passed down through the generations, using the finest of ingredients to create traditional Italian cuisine with a unique distinctive flavour.
